	FUTURE TENSE

	There are two basic ways to speak about the future in English. One way is to use "will" and the other you use "going to".

When we speak about grammar tense in English,	we are referring to the verb, as in the tense (or time) of the verb.(is the action continued?)	or completion (is the action finished?) of the action or state.


Regular Verbs

Base Verb (infinitive form)	Future Tense	Nasıl Kullanmalı?
walk yürümek	will walk or going to walk	I will walk to school. I am going to walk to school.
talk konuşmak	will talk or going to talk	She will talk with me tonight. She is going to talk with me tonight.
smell koklamak	will smell or going to smell	I will smell the flowers later. I am going to smell the flowers later.
look for aramak	will look or going to look	I will look for a second-hand car. I am going to look at a book .
want istemek	will want or going to want	I will want dinner tonight. I am going to want her soon.
invite davet etmek	I will invite or going to invite	I will invite my cousin to dinner. I am going to invite my cousin to dinner.
watch izlemek	will watch or going to watch	I will watch TV tomorrow. I am going to watch TV tonite.
burn yakmak	will burn or going to burn	They will burn more forests this year. They are going to burn all forests in Türkiye.
arrive varmak	will arrive or going to arrive	She will arrive in Esenler Bus Station at 4.00 A.M. She is going to arrive in a Varan bus.

Irregular Verbs

become olmak	will become or going to become	I will become angry. I am going to become angry.
break kırmak	will break or going to break	The glass will break. The glass is going to break.
grow Yetiş(tir)mek	will grow or going to grow	The tree will grow tall. The tree is going to grow tall.
lie uzanmak	will lie or going to lie	I will lie down for a minute. I am going to lie down for a minute.
have içmek	will have or going to have	I will have a cup of tea. I am going to have a cup of tea.
learn öğrenmek	will learn or going to learn	I will learn that tomorrow.
make yapmak	will make or going to make	I will make a mistake. I am going to make a mistake.
say söylemek	will say or going to say	I will say that to her. I am going to say that to her.
throw fırlatmak	will throw or going to throw	I will throw the ball. I am going to throw the ball.


	The difference between using "will" and using "going to"

	Sometimes there isn't much difference between using "will" or using "going to". When we say that something is "going to" happen, we know (or believe) this because of what is happening now. In other situations it is safer to use "will".

	Önceki Yaşam deneyimlerimizin olayların gelişimi sürecinde bir sonraki olası aşamayı kulağımıza fısıldadıkları anlar vardır. Böylesi durumlarda da "going to " kullanılabilir.


	Adamın biri deli gibi araç kullanıyorsa: He is going to crash now Çocuk Balkondan Sarkıyorsa : The kid is going to fall off the balcony Bir Minübüs Kamyona Çarpınca: The drivers are going to fight Rüzgar kara bulutları getirince It is going to rain.
