Lada
Samaras and the traditonal off-road vehicles Lada Nivas
have been very popular so far with their fuel economy, with
their modest design and with their durability and reasonable
prices.
Lada used
to be the nightmare of the international car
producers as she
offered strong and reliable cars to the
world market with half of the current prices.
But things
have changed a bit in the last decade and the
now the question is:
"Has Lada completed its mission to
be a serious alternative
to International Automotive giants ?"
When Calina
was launched the
car critics came to a
conclusion that"

Despite
all efforts to make a better car by Vaz engineers
Lada Kalina could not penetrate to world car market due
to prejudices on Soviet cars and because of the impacts
of the current economic crisis.
So whether we like the idea or not Lada Kalina has already
taken its place in
car design history archives as one of the
long forgotten models of Soviet car makes.
