Ülkemizde
genel olarak "müfettiş geliyoo!"
diye bilinen
ve ayda yılda bir konuya bir hayli fransız bir kadrolu görevlinin
sınıflara yaptığı ziyaretleri biliyorsunuz.
Batı ülkelerinde ise bu uygulamaya Class Observations
adı verilmektedir. Rutin bir uygulamadır. İnceliyoruz.
Batıda
öğretmenler bizde olduğu denli şanslı değil.
Türkiye de öğretmenlerin ünvanı Hoca.
Hoca ünvanı öğretmenlere bir tür dokunulmazlık kazandırırken,
birazda dış eleştirilere karşı bir zırha bürüyor.
Biz burada öğretmenlerle ilgili bu olguyu tartışmayacağız.
Batı ülkelerinde öğretmenlerin bizde ki gibi dokunulmazlıkları
yok.
Gerektiğinde veliler ve öğrenciler tarafından eleştirilebiliyorlar.
Bu eğilim yönetici ve patronlar için de geçerli.
O nedenle Türkiye de öğretmenler üzerinde olmayan
denetim sistemi batıda var. Hatta Amerikalılar bununla ilgili
standartlar belirlemişler. Öyle ki sınıf kapısına port hole
koyan da onlar. Geleneksel mahremiyeti içinde barındıran
Türk tipi bir sınıfta bu yöntemler işe yararmı?
Amerikalıların mesajı açık tamam anladık öğretmen olmasına
öğretmensin ancak nihayetinde ücretli bir emekçisin. Haddini
bil,
işini iyi yap, sakın ola kaytarma. Geleneksel komünal mahremiyeti
ile Türk öğrencileri bu outsider'ların sık ziyaretlerini sindirebilirlermi,
sınıfta ki low achiever'lar bu gözlemden incinebilirlermi.
Öğretmen bu ziyareti hissedip öğrencilerle organize olup
dersi şova dönüştürebilirmi? İki ucu keskin bir bıçak olan
bu
uygulama ile öğretmen üzerinde bir tür politik, etnik veya
cinsel ayrımcı terör ihdas edilebilir mi? Şimdilik bu soruları
bir yana bırakıp uygulama ilkelerine göz atalım.

gibi öğretmenden ciddi bir ders öncesi fiziksel ve mental
hazırlık beklentisi vardır.
Diyelim
ki bir Amerikan tarzı eğitimi uygulayan okulda çalışıyorsunuz.
Sınıfınıza kendinden emin yaptığı işi önemseyen bir adam geliyor.
Selamsız Sabahsız sınıfın sol arka köşesine geçip oturuyor.
Gözlerini sizden kaçırarak ve sınıfta olup bitene kayıtsız biri
gibi
hep bir şeyler karalıyor. Ne mi karalıyor? İşte çoğu İngilizceci
